Join with us for some great fellowhship before the heat of summer arrives! Arrive on the 2nd, depart on the 5th. Lake Athens Marina & RV Park is located on picturesque Lake Athens where our guest can enjoy the great views from the shoreline. This 1,799 acre spring fed lake is located on FM 2495 and is best known for its largemouth bass. You will need to CALL THE RV PARK FOR RESERVATIONS (tell them SMART TEXANS, and ask for the military discount), and please be sure to also COMPLETE THE ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM FOR HEADCOUNT & MEAL PURPOSES. The park rate per night is $45, minus 10% military discount. The Athens Boathouse Bar & Grill Restaurant is a short walk from the RV park. Athens has called itself the "Black-Eyed Pea Capital of the World." In addition to numerous interesting places to shop in Athens, area attractions include NY-TX Zipline Adventures, Athens Scuba Park, East Texas Arboretum & Botanical Society, and Canton Trade Days 30 miles away (the Texas Fresh Waters fish hatchery is closed for renovations).
